Welcome to the digital era of biology (and to this modest blog I started in early 2005).
To cure many diseases, like cancer or cystic fibrosis, we will need to target genes (mutations, for ex.), not organs! I am convinced that the future of replacement medicine (organ transplant) is genomics (the science of the human genome). In 10 years we will be replacing (modifying) genes; not organs!

Quand on voit l'organisation de notre système de santé gaulois (on peut ajouter : justice, éducation, PME ...), cette phrase prend tout son sens ...
Juge, chirurgien, médecin, avocat, cadre dirigeant de PME, prof, infirmière ... ils se mettent tous à la place de cette secrétaire plusieurs fois par jour, dans leur travail au quotidien ... La France, ce pays où haute technicité rime avec organisation moyenâgeuse ... Un dirigeant de PME qui s'occupe de fibrer les campagnes (l'Internet à très haut débit) témoigne : "Ne serait-ce que pour toucher à une seule fibre au milieu de nos campagnes, il va falloir réunir combien de commissions (municipales, communautés de communes, départementales, régionales et enfin nationales) pour autoriser juste une dérivation ? 2 ans de réunions pour une semaine de travail pour fibrer un village ... au moins on sait pourquoi les prix seront élevés."
